Can you tell us about yourself and your background?
I’m a Partner in Distribution at Pallas Capital Sydney. My main responsibilities are raising capital and servicing our high-net worth investors, family offices and wealth advisory firms.
Before joining Pallas Capital, I spent more than 30 years working in money markets here in Sydney, and also in Singapore and Tokyo.
How did you come to be part of the Pallas Capital team?
I was first introduced to non-bank lending by Mark Spring (Pallas Capital Executive Director) as an investor myself, back in 2018. As I came to understand the asset class more, I also came to know more about how Pallas Capital was run.
I was very impressed, so it was an easy decision to join the team when the opportunity presented itself.
What does a typical workday look like for you at Pallas Capital?
My job is all about building the Pallas Capital brand and keeping my client base informed on relevant real estate and financial news.
Right now, that includes lots of conversations about the interest rate cycle, which is front and centre at present.
My day also involves keeping my clients up-to-date with current loans on offer, as well as any upcoming loan maturities and roll overs.
What has been your highlight at Pallas Capital so far?
I enjoy the new challenges that each day throws up and, of course, the culture both here at Pallas Capital and at our sister company, Fortis, who are also based at Pallas House in Double Bay.
Everyone shares the same vision and is dedicated to the mission.
What are your personal goals for 2022 outside of Pallas Capital?
Keep on learning, keep on growing – and ideally get my golf handicap back down to single figures.
