FY24/25 Wrap and the Road Ahead

As we move through 2025 and into a new financial year for our Australian business, it feels like the momentum is just getting started here in New Zealand.

We almost doubled our origination team to 24 people, bringing more depth, experience and energy to the frontlines. I’ve been deliberate in building a team of seasoned professionals who not only understand commercial real estate lending inside out but genuinely care about getting the right outcomes for brokers and borrowers alike. That experience is what sets us apart.

In New Zealand, our focus continues to be on building a strong, connected developer network. We’ve been out in the market meeting with developers, attending industry events, and deepening our relationships in Auckland, Christchurch and regionally, areas where we see enormous long-term opportunity.

Our Auckland head office has expanded, and we marked the milestone with an official launch event. We also launched operations in Adelaide, making our offering more accessible across South Australia.

Across the group, we achieved a major milestone this year: $2.95 billion in originations across 316 transactions. Since inception, we’ve now settled 1,077 transactions worth $8.3bn. A testament to the strength of our partnerships and the trust our clients continue to place in us.

In Australia, we sharpened our competitive edge by cutting commercial rates and launching a more flexible construction loan product designed to meet evolving market conditions. While rate changes haven’t been introduced in New Zealand, the strength of our local funding lines, supported by Westpac NZ and others, means we’re well-positioned to back quality projects across the country.

And while we can’t reveal too much just yet, we’re working on a new digital tool behind the scenes that’ll make it easier and faster to borrow through Pallas. Stay tuned, it’s going to be a game-changer for our borrower community.

Looking ahead, we’ve got exciting plans for new offices and new markets. With interest rate shifts likely on the horizon, we think the timing couldn’t be better. For developers thinking about dusting off the next project, let’s talk. We’re here to help bring those visions to life.
